Hi, I am Francisco.
I am a scientific programmer and data wrangler (currently @Cornell University). These days I am primarly working with Rice genetic data, creating databases and tools for easier data access. Most of the work I do is to empower biologists to work with their data in a simpler way. I am a Physisics turned Bionformatician. My main training is in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, and Genomics. My earliest studies were in Physics Applied to Electronics, peppered with Computer Science.
Besides finding ways to wrangle biological data, I also like to look at financial data for curiosity and for personal projects. When I am not coding for work I code for my hobbies. I have an interest in photography and dab into music and other artistic hobbies.
I will try to collect some of my digital musings (code, prose) and other material that I find helpul here.
I hope you find something useful here.
